Step by Step SET UP for 23.98 or 24 on the HDW-F500 for NTSC Down Convert

(1) Use a tweaker Tool (no more than 1mm width) or paper clip to push the button near the control panel bottom, left hand corner labeled <MAINTENANCE>

(2) Select SFT <SHIFT> just right of the number 9 keypad and at the same time F8 <MAINTE>

(3) Another menu opens, select F9 <OTHERS CHECK>

(4) Select F9 again <SYSTEM MENU>

(5) The left hand side of the LCD screen will be button F2 (SYSTEM FREQ) keep selecting this button as it cycles the range. Stop at 23.98 or 24 depending on frame rate desired (see audio workflow).

(6) Then hit SHIFT F9 to execute, it will then reboot the deck. Reference must be set to the deck before the reboot.
